Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Michael Vaughan hoping for a ten

Michael Vaughan (Strictly Come Dancing)

Michael Vaughan has admitted he's hoping for his first ten on Strictly Come Dancing 2012 this week.

The former England cricket captain had four nines last week and this Saturday will see him performing the Argentine Tango to Bust Your Windows by Jazmine Sullivan.

Writing in his weekly blog for the Daily Telegraph, Michael revealed: "I’m doing the Argentine Tango this week. There’s a bit of seriousness behind it as we’re telling a story.

"We’re dancing to a great song – Bust Your Windows by R’n’B singer-songwriter Jazmine Sullivan, and I’ve got more big lifts. Natalie is very trustworthy to allow me to do these lifts.

"During training I’ve kicked my shins a few too many times, so I’ve been wearing shin pads. I might even wear them on Saturday."

Michael and his pro partner Natalie Lowe have become surprise contenders in this year's series, having been in the dance off and bottom of the leaderboard in the first few live shows.

Now Michael's aiming for his first ten of the series, after Denise Van Outen last weekend.

He said: "I don’t know if there’s a 10 in my locker (I got three nines last week) but we’re giving it everything.

"This tango could be good, it’s a sexy dance. The British public like a bit of sex so we might be all right."

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 continues Saturday, 24th November at 18:30 with the latest Strictly results show on Sunday 25th November at 1925 on BBC One and BBC One HD.
