Denise Van Outen regained her spot on top of the leaderboard this evening on Strictly Come Dancing 2012.

Opening the show, Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh brought back Nimble Kimble to wow with a sexy salsa, earning her highest score of the series with 33 points from the judges.

Richard Arnold struggled, messing up his routine, with Craig branding it a "complete dance disaster. It was never even going well."

Fortunately Denise Van Outen turned the fortunes of the celebs around, scoring her top score of the series so far with 35 points.

Victoria Pendleton's Samba didn't go as badly as she had feared, while Colin Salmon bounced back from the bottom two to score his highest marks of the series.

Michael Vaughan gave the judges the Sweetest thing with his Foxtrot, while Fern faired well with her Paso Doble.

Louis Smith fell form his top spot on the leaderboard to score a mixed bag of marks from the judges, coming out with a total of 29 points.

Concluding the show, Dani Harmer wowed with a jive to match Kimberley's 33 points, putting both girls between Louis and chart topper Denise on the leaderboard.
