Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Darcey Bussell shocked by 'Yah' catchphrase

Darcey Bussell (Strictly Come Dancing)

Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell has confessed she's shocked by her Yah catchphrase.

The ballet dancer found herself at the centre of jokes on Twitter after appearing on the show for the first time last month, due the amount of Yahs she included in her comments.

Speaking on Norton's chat show tonight, Darcey claims she's made it disappear!

She said: "It's disappeared. I had such a shock because I really didn't appreciate how many times I said it until I watched the show back and I thought, 'Wow'. I didn't even hear it.

"I am used to coaching dancers and getting a response so I was waiting for their [the contestants'] response and they wouldn't speak back."

She continued: "I try to be constructive. I've got Craig [Revel Horwood] next to me so I don't need to be vicious. He is rubbing off on me, but I suppose my marking is a bit low and that's where I'm a bit mean."

Chatting on the BBC One show, Darcey refused to name her favourite competitor in the show, going only as far as to say Olympic gymnast Louis Smith is "very talented".

Tune in to this week’s show on Saturday 3rd November at 6.30pm for Strictly Come Dancing with Strictly Come Dancing: The Results on Sunday 4th November at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
