Training for Strictly Come Dancing 2012 is harder than the Olympics, Louis Smith has said.
The gymnast has confessed he's finding the rehearsals tough going as the show enters its fifth week of live shows.
Speaking at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards 2012 on Tuesday night, Louis admitted he was finding training for Saturday's latest show tough going.
He said: “I find training for ‘Strictly’ is harder than training for the Olympic Games.
"Being a gymnast might not be an advantage, but it allows me to add in a few extra bits to the routine that perhaps normal people can’t do."
But Louis added: “I don’t want to put somersaults or stuff in because it takes away from the competition, it’s not right. I think where possible we’ll add a few tricks to make people go, ‘Ooh that’s cool!’ Me and Flavia (Cacace) have a few things planned if we make it further on the show.”
Louis found himself in hot water last weekend after he gave away the show's result on Twitter.
Needless to say, this weekend he'll be making sure he's much more careful!
"I couldn't believe I accidentally gave the game away about the result," Louis said. "The fans have been amazing to me and the last thing I'd want to do is ruin the surprise.
"It was such an emotional night and we were all exhausted. I just completely forgot for a second when I was tweeting, but realised straight away and deleted it.
"I'm so sorry if I spoilt it for anyone, I won't be doing it again, that's for sure."
Tune in to this week’s show on Saturday 3rd November at 6.30pm for Strictly Come Dancing with Strictly Come Dancing: The Results on Sunday 4th November at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
