Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Sid Owen admits he was "awful" on Saturday

Sid Owen (Strictly Come Dancing)

Strictly Come Dancing's Sid Owen has confessed he was awful at the weekend.

The Eastenders star was eliminated from the series on Sunday night when put up against Colin Salmon in the dance off.

Speaking on It Takes Two last night, Sid said: "It was the right decision on the night. I went to pot."

Sid confessed that a lack of training with dance partner Ola Jordan had impacted his performance.

"Ola wasn't very happy, so I wasn't very happy. And everyone else smashed it on the night," he said.

But he added: "We can't make excuses, we had a bad couple of weeks with the circumstances and that affected us."

Meanwhile Ola told It Takes Two host Zoe Ball: "The whole thing went up, everyone was improving and it was a really bad week for us.

"I came in on Friday and we only did two hours, it wasn't there."
