Ola dashed out to her native Poland last weekend after learning that her mother had unfortunately suffered a heart attack and was "lucky to be alive".
Johnny Ball's former pro partner Iveta has been training with Sid all week, with Ola flying back last night to prepare for this evening's performance.
“It was all such a shock. My mum is doing better and is out of hospital, but she is still quite weak," Ola said. "Obviously being so far away from her is really difficult. I can’t just pop in for one day, say hi and give her a hug.”
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Ola admitted it was going to tough for her and Sid to do well tonight.
She told the tabloid today: “I haven’t been training all week so I’m very worried about what our performance is going to be like.
“Iveta has choreographed the routine and has trained him for me, so I’ve got to learn it and get into the moves. It’s going to be quite hard.
“I just don’t want to go out this week because obviously I’ve been away and I’d feel really bad and guilty if that happened.
"It’s not Sid’s fault I haven’t been here.”
