Lisa Riley has been subject to the biggest gamble on Strictly Come Dancing to date according to Ladbrokes.
The former Emmerdale star began the series as an outsider at 66/1 but after wowing on the dance floor her odds have been repeatedly slashed to her current price of 8/1, and one punter in her native Manchester has placed £1500 on Lisa to win (at 8/1) which will return a total of £13,500.
Lisa now finds herself as the fourth favourite behind Louis Smith (7/4), Denise van Outen (5/2) and Kimberley Walsh at 4/1. Unfortunately for Michael Vaughan it looks like he'll be bowled out of the competition next weekend as the 2/1 favourite to leave on Sunday.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "It's been one-way traffic for Lisa this week and we've barely taken a penny on Louis, Denise or Kimberley since Saturday. Lisa's the star of the show and she's suddenly become a serious contender for a top three finish."
Lisa has continued to impress the judges week after week with her high impact routines, but confessed that ballroom may be her undoing.
She said this week: “I struggle more with the ballroom, as do a lot of us, the fast stuff suits my personality more. The ballroom is going to take a bit more time.”
Tune in tonight to find out how it goes!
