Robbie Williams is being lined up to perform on the Strictly Come Dancing final, it has been reported.

It was confirmed yesterday that the 'Candy' singer would also be performing on The X Factor this weekend too, alongside American group Fun.

The apparent signing is the latest in a string of big names to be linked to the show.

It was reported at the weekend that Girls Aloud are to perform on Strictly, along with Kylie Minogue at next month's Children In Need special at Wembley Arena.

The Daily Star reports that Robbie opted to perform on Strictly final over the X Factor final in December due to the BBC One show's bigger ratings.

A source told the newspaper this morning: “Robbie has realised that Strictly is the one which everyone is talking about.

"It’s a big coup for the Beeb. They’ve bagged Girls Aloud and Kylie too.”

And the supposed insider rubbished claims that Robbie would be on the X Factor show as well, which finishes a week earlier in Manchester.

The source added: “Robbie is definitely doing our show. He knows we’ve got the bigger audience.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns this weekend on Saturday 27th October at 6.30pm for Strictly’s spooktacular Halloween special with the results show on Sunday 28th October at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
