Sir Bruce Forsyth will take a break from Strictly Come Dancing 2012 next month, it's been revealed.
The telly presenter will miss the show on November 10 to take a rest ahead of the live Wembley Arena special for Children In Need the following week.
The 84-ear-old, who has showed no signs of wanting to retire jut yet, will be replaced with Claudia Winkleman alongside Bruce's current co-host Tess Daly.
Sir Bruice already misses the results shows, which are pre-recorded after the live performance show on Saturday night.
A source said: "Brucie wants a weekend to relax and recuperate and that’s fine. It’s a gruelling schedule for a man half his age.
"Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will front it and do a great job.”
A Strictly Come Dancing spokesman confirmed: "Even national treasures are allowed to take a week off. Sir Bruce is taking a short break so he can be on top form and fighting fit for the Children in Need show at Wembley the following week."
Strictly Come Dancing returns this weekend on Saturday 27th October at 6.30pm for Strictly’s spooktacular Halloween special with the results show on Sunday 28th October at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
