Strictly Come Dancing 2012 results: Who left? Jerry Hall eliminated!

Jerry Hall

Jerry Hall has become the latest celeb to depart the dance floor in Strictly Come Dancing 2012

Following last week's second live show, this week Sir Bruce Forsyth & Tess Daly declared the battle for the ballroom officially underway, as the lines opened for the viewers to cast their vote for the second time this series.

Jerry Hall and professional partner Anton Du Beke, and Michael Vaughan and his partner Natalie Lowe, became the second two couples to face the dance-off.

The thirteen remaining couples each danced a Foxtrot, Jive, Cha Cha, Rumba or Tango in a bid to impress the viewers at home, as well as judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli & Craig Revel Horwood, as Strictly went to Hollywood.

The judges' scores were combined with the results of the viewers' votes to decide the lowest scoring two couples facing the dance off.

Both couples then performed their routines again before the judges delivered their verdicts:

Craig chose to save Michael saying: "For me, this couple improved slightly which was encouraging, so I want to save Michael and Natalie."

Darcey chose to save Michael saying: "Both couples have improved over the last weeks and nerves got hold of both of them, but I have to save Michael and Nat."

Bruno chose to save Richard saying: "I thought both couples were very nervous tonight, there were mistakes, timing, lack of rhythm. By a whisper I'm going to save Jerry and Anton."

As head judge, Len had the casting vote.

He said: "Neither couple impressed me, the pressure go to both of them. It's a really difficult decision, and it's so close but I'm going to save Michael and Natalie."

With three votes to save Michael it meant that Jerry Hall bowed out of the competition.

Reflecting back on the results of tonight's show, Jerry stated: "I've had a lot of fun, it's been great and I've loved hanging out with Anton, it's been lovely."

This evening's latest results show also saw a performance from Dionne Warwick.

Next week Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 27th October at 6.30pm for Strictly’s spooktacular Halloween special with the results show on Sunday 28th October at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
