Strictly Come Dancing increases lead over X Factor in ratings

Strictly Come Dancing increased its lead over The X Factor in the Saturday night day ratings last night.

The third live Strictly show stayed constant with 9.9 million viewers tuning between 6:30PM and 8:25PM, the exact same figure as last week.

The show averaged an impressive 44.2% share, while it peaked at over 11 million viewers with a massive 11.3 million people watching at one point.

The X Factor meanwhile LOST viewers for a third week running, with an average audience of 8.6 million viewers for its Club Classics themed evening.

And that figure includes those who caught up an hour later on ITV1+1.

The X Factor peaked with 9.3 million viewers - 600,000 fewer people than watched Strictly on average - with a 9.6 million peak including those catching up on ITV1+1.

As well as featuring the latest sing off and subsequent elimination, this evening's episode will also feature performances from JLS and Labrinth.
