Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Harry Judd backs Kimberley Walsh and Denise Van Outen

Harry Judd (Strictly Come Dancing 2011)

Former Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd has backed the girls to win this year's series.

The McFly drummer told the Daily Star this week that Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh and West End performer Denise Van Outen were the ones to look out for.

The hunky band member said: "I think this year belongs to the girls, especially Kimberley Walsh and Denise Van Outen.

"I've been enjoying Sid Owen too. His waltz was very good.

"I love watching the show having been a contestant. It gives it a new dimension."

And in an interview with the newspaper, Harry also revealed he hoped to follow Alesha Dixon and go from being a contestant on the show to a judge!

He told the tabloid: "I'd love to do it. It would be a privilege and an honour, although pretty daunting. I love the current judges, but it'd be amazing to join the panel.

"When I sit at home watching the show I already pretend I'm a judge anyway.
