Strictly Come Dancing: "Touch and go" whether Denise Van Outen will perform

Denise Van Outen (Strictly Come Dancing)

It's "touch and go" whether or not Denise Van Outen will perform on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.

The latest victim of the ballroom, Denise has been forced to sit out vital training sessions ahead of Saturday night’s second live show.

And this weekend it matters more than the first, with the public getting their say and one celeb being sent home on Sunday night.

It’s not been a good year for injuries already, with pro dancer Aliona Vilani already out of the competition with a fractured ankle, while last weekend saw Denise’s pro partner James Jordan suffer a broken nose, from his wife Ola!

Denise has suffered whiplash during training with James for this weekend's second performance, where the pair are set to dance a Jive.

Denise tweeted her fans last night: “In the back of a cab with a stiff one – neck that is. On my way to physio.”

She added: “I think it is touch and go whether I will be able to perform.”

Meanwhile, Aliona has revealed she'll be out of the competition for four more weeks.

The flame haired pro dancer injured her foot while training with celeb partner Johnny Ball, who is now paired with Lithuanian dance champ Iveta Lukosiute.

But with Johnny tipped for an early exit this weekend, Aliona may not get the chance to get back on the dancelfoor this series!

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 continues this Saturday night on BBC One, with all of the celebs performing their second dance. The first results show will follow on Sunday, with one celeb getting the boot!
