Johnny Ball is the 9/4 favourite with William Hill to be the first contestant booted off Strictly Come Dancing this weekend with Richard Arnold at 5/2, Jerry Hall at 9/2 and Fern Britton 8/1.
Despite a summer of glory and high hopes Victoria Pendleton struggled in week one and is 20/1 to be knocked out this weekend but 12/1 to win the show. Surprise package Lisa Riley is 14/1 for the win behind Pendleton, 12/1 shot Sid Owen, 7/2 Denise Van Outen, 10/3 Kimberley Walsh and 9/4 favourite Louis Smith.
“Johnny Ball may be the favourite to leave first but there will be a few nerves for Victoria Pendleton this week as she produced an underwhelming performance despite the early hype,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young. “The thing with sports stars on Strictly though, is that they are highly competitive and any knock that Pendleton gets early on will only serve to make her train even harder as the show progresses.”
