Strictly Come Dancing's Lisa Riley 'feels like a princess' after first live performance

Lisa Riley (Strictly Come Dancing)Strictly Come Dancing 2012 contestant Lisa Riley has spoken of her joy after topping the judges' scoreboard in the first live shows with partner Robin Windsor.

Their cha-cha-cha earned rave reviews and a 30 out of 40 score from the panel on Saturday, with Craig Revel Horwood telling Lisa: "You can dance."

As a result, her odds of winning have dropped dramatically from 100/1 to 16/1 - leaving the former Emmerdale actress feeling rather chuffed.

In an interview with The Sun, she said:"I finally feel like a princess for the first time in my life. Nobody can explain how I feel right now. I spend my life playing mingers and all of a sudden I feel like I’m in Dynasty.

"The glam squad make you feel like a million dollars and the response I’ve had has been overwhelming. To see Robin’s reaction last night was priceless and I want to do him proud again."

Lisa now hopes she can keep up the good work next week. She added: "I’m not expecting the same scores. If I get four fives I will be happy but I won’t lie — I would like more!"

She was previously tipped to be this year's 'joke act', following in the footsteps of Russell Grant, Anne Widdecombe and John Sargeant.

Lisa became famous playing Mandy Dingle on the ITV1 soap between 1995 and 2001, and also spent four years as the host of clip show You've Been Framed.
