Strictly Come Dancing to ramp up X Factor battle with Cheryl Cole peformance?

Cheryl Cole and Gary Barlow (X Factor 2012)The Saturday night ratings war between ITV and BBC is set to intensify after Strictly Come Dancing bosses signed up former The X Factor judge Cheryl Cole for a guest performance!

According to The Sun, the Girls Aloud beauty has been booked to perform her new single 'Screw You' on the BBC One talent contest in November.

This has apparently 'infuriated' their ITV1 rivals, as they expect her appearance to boost Strictly's viewing figures at the crucial live stages.

A BBC insider told the newspaper: "We are delighted Cheryl has said yes. We hope she will draw even more viewers mid-run."

However, the X Factor has already secured a victory with Cheryl as she will be seen assisting Gary Barlow at judges' houses this weekend, despite numerous reports claiming that she'd never return to the show.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that the both sides' first live shows won't clash in the schedules.
