Strictly Come Dancing 2012 pro Karen Hauer reckons her celebrity partner Nicky Byrne has what it takes to win.
30-year-old Karen, a new professional dancer for this year's series of Strictly, was partnered with Westlife singer Nicky during last weekend's launch show.
Speaking from his first day of training, Nicky said: "The first session went quite well, I was a bit shocked when I walked in and I had to put the shoes on right away."
Karen said: |I thought today's session went really well, it's the waltz and it's a tough one, it looks easy but it's really not, all the footwork, it's difficult and I think Nicky handled it really well."
Of his American dance partner, Nicky said: "I think Karen is brilliant, she's really fun and when I make mistakes she doesn't lose her head shes been very helpful and a great teacher."
Meanwhile Karen suggested that, with her help, Nicky could win the series.
The confident performer, who used to dance on the US version of the show, said: "I think Nicky is a winner already, I just need to fix the little things. I think he has got what it takes."
The Strictly Come Dancing live shows start on October 5 on BBC One.
