Louis Smith has claimed that training for Strictly Come Dancing 2012 is harder than the Olympics!
The gymnast scooped two medals at the London 2012 games earlier this year, including Team GB's first in the Team Event for over 100 years.
But he says rehearsals for Strictly have been testing.
He told the Daily Telegraph: "Aw, man, I’m in pain.
“I’m aching in places I have never ached. I’m in bits.”
“I’ll have a break for five minutes, then when I get up to start dancing again I’m stiff like an old man,” he told the newspaper. “My back hurts. My bum. Heels. Calves. Hips. Quads. Hamstrings. And my brain. It’s exhausting, there is so much to take in.”
The 23-year-old has been partnered with Italian professional dancer Flavia Cacace for the live shows, and said that she wasn't giving him an easy ride.
“Flavia is relentless. Preparing for Strictly is as hard as training for the Olympics,” he said.
Louis added: “I’m not putting my life at risk doing somersaults and stuff, but I would be used to that. T
"This is using muscles I have not used before.”
With a day off yesterday, Louis tried to get some rest, but woke up feeling ill!
He tweeted fans: "Just woke up.... Really don't wanna leave my house today feel ill :("
