Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh has won the backing of the Duchess of Cornwall on Strictly Come Dancing 2012!
Kimberley took a trip to Clarence House earlier today before starting rehearsals with professional partner Pasha Kovalev.
Kimberley was at the event for Diamond Champions ambassadors with other stars including telly host Phillip Schofield, encouraging others to volunteer for the charity WRVS.
Writing on Twitter after the gathering, Kimberley revealed: "Ooh Charles was there too.
"Camilla said she'll vote for me on Strictly. Ha! Right, time to get my dancing shoes on."
The Duchess is certainly a fan of the show, having visited the Strictly studios last year after being invited by Craig Revel Horwood.
As well as spending time touring backstage, the Duchess also met with the show's presenters, judges and that year's line up of celebrities.
Meanwhile it seems like Kimberley and Pasha's celebrity backing will only increase the competition between the contestants.
It seemed today that some of the other celebs were becoming a bit intimidated by the pair as they started training for the first time.
Hollywood actor Colin Salmon tweeted: "Another strong days rehearsal then Pasha comes in and shows you how its really done. Wow! Square one again. All good."
And his professional dancer partner Kristina Rihanoff added: "Great day with @colinsalmon24 ! Also had a little peak at Pash and @KimberleyJWalsh ! Boy they look good together!!! X"
The Strictly Come Dancing 2012 live shows start on October 5.
