Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh has been confirmed on the line up for Strictly Come Dancing 2012.
The singer joins Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer, Westlife singer Nicky Byrne and Daybreak's showbiz pundit Richard Arnold on the list of confirmed stars on this year's show.
Kimberley tweeted this afternoon: " Dancing the cha cha cha.... @bbcstrictly #scd"
Meanwhile the official BBC Strictly Come Dancing Twitter account tweeted: "Kimberley Walsh joins Strictly Come Dancing! A rumour no longer just the ‘sound of the underground’. #scd"
It was reported previously that Kimberley “jumped” at the chance to join the show’s upcoming celebrity lineup.
“When we heard she was interested we were thrilled,” a Strictly insider source told the Daily Mirror last month.
They added to the newspaper: “Now everyone’s dying to see her moves. She’s a great name to have got.”
Other stars rumoured to be on the line up this year include Denise Van Outen, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, Olympian Victoria Pendleton and telly presenter Fern Britton.
The Strictly Come Dancing launch show will air next Saturday from 6:30PM, where the celebrities will find out which dancers they’ve been partnered with.
They’ll then have three weeks worth of training before the first live shows kick off on October 5.
