Strictly Come Dancing 2012 'won't clash with The X Factor 2012'

Strictly Come Dancing 2012

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 bosses are reportedly hoping to avoid a clash with The X Factor 2012 this year.

The show's went head to head numerous times last autumn, with the clashes knocking ratings for both shows.

However, Strictly did often beat its big reality telly rival.

The X Factor launched three weeks ago last month, and now Strictly bosses have confirmed their new series will begin next Saturday night.

The launch of Strictly will air at a rather early time of 6:30PM, with The X Factor starting later at 8:10PM.

A source said: “This is great news for fans who will now be able to watch both shows live.”

However BBC One series Doctor Who will clash with The X Factor this Saturday night, with the two shows overlapping by 10 minutes between 8:10PM and 8:20PM.

Both Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor go live in October, and we expect to see some pretty aggressive scheduling from the Beeb after The Voice and BGT clashes earlier this year.
