New Strictly Come Dancing 2012 judge Darcey Bussell has said she'll be critical with the contestants on this year's show, admitting that she's hoping for perfection!
The ballet dancer joins Len, Craig and Bruno on the panel of the BBC One series from this September, replacing Alesha Dixon.
Speaking to the Daily Express ahead of the start of the new series, Darcey said of her judging style: "I’ll be looking for clean lines."
She explained: “I’ll want to jump up and say, ‘do a little bit of this’ or ‘stretch that’. I want the contestants to focus on perfecting their moves to get the best out of the experience.”
And while Darcey insisted she wouldn't be as harsh as Craig, she revealed she would be very critical of the stars' dancing skills.
She said: “I don’t want to put the contestants down but I will be critical if I think they aren’t working hard enough.
"All the judges have their different talents. I love that Craig gets straight to the point. I find Len’s traditional, technical side of ballroom fascinating. Bruno, gosh, he has that wonderful excitement, the energy he wants the dancers to have on stage.”
“And me? I’ll appreciate the nerves and what goes into getting on that stage.”
