Union J popped up on E4's Stage School tonight as they offered Casey Johnson a spot in the group.
Union J, who made the live Quarter Finals of The X Factor back in 2012, partially split in March this year after George Shelley left the group.
It undid the work of The X Factor judges who originally put the group together on the show, having added then solo singer George to trio Triple J - made up of Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hemsley - to form Union J.
And while we knew earlier this year that former Stereo Kicks singer Casey had joined the line up, the behind the scenes meetings that went down were only shown in Stage School tonight.
Casey, who had joined the academy alongside girlfriend and fellow X Factor singer Betsy-Blue English from Only The Young, was invited by Union J's Jaymi and their manager to join the group.
Jaymi told Casey: "You've got everything we're looking for, you've got the looks and talent."
Casey was quick to accept the invitation to join the group: "I'd have to [say yes], it's my dream. I always said I wanted to be in a boy band, it's something I've always wanted to do. It's the top of the pyramid."
However while the meeting was taking place, Casey left Betsy-Blue and other students of the Stage School annoyed by his absence as they tried to rehearse the upcoming summer showcase without him.
After finally showing up with quite the excuse, Casey insisted he was committed to both the school and Union J, saying: "I can assure you 100% I'm fully committed, I want to do both, I will not let you down."
However in Tuesday night's show, after landing his dream job, Casey struggles to juggle schoolwork with band rehearsals, forcing Betsy-Blue to make a big decision.
E4's Stage School continues week nights at 7:30PM.
