Splash! 2014 bounced back in the ratings last night for its final at the expense of The Voice's viewing figures.

An average audience of just under 4 million viewers tuned in to see who won Splash! last night, the second highest rated episode of the series.

It was up almost a million viewers on last week's series low suggesting that there is perhaps hope for the show yet, albeit away from the BBC's big shows.

Over on the BBC and the penultimate blind audition show of The Voice 2014 was down close to a million viewers week-on-week.

An average audience of 7.7 million viewers watched the latest bunch of budding performers singing to the backs of the coaches, down some 800,000 on last weekend's showing making it the second least watched episode of the series to date.

All eyes will be on the ratings in two weeks time once the blind audition shows are over to see if this year the numbers can sustain themselves.

In the first two series while the auditions have rated high the remainder of the show has struggled to attract viewers but will the new panel prove more viewable?

The Voice UK continues next weekend on BBC One with the final round of blind auditions.
