Splash! 2014: Rav Wilding forced to quit, replaced by Martin Offiah

Rav Wilding has been forced to quit the Splash! 2014 line up after an injury.

The former copper hurt himself in training for the ITV series, which kicks off its second run next month.

Rav explained: "I was genuinely loving the opportunity to learn an Olympic event that I had admired since I was a little kid, so I'm bitterly disappointed to get injured in this way.

"I am very much looking forward to watching the series when it starts!"

Speaking to his Twitter followers in the week, the Helicopter Heroes TV host revealed he's already been talking to doctors about an operation to mend his leg.

It's been rumoured that former Rugby League player Martin Offiah will now up Rav's place on the line up.

He will join TV presenter Michaela Strachan, fellow rugby hunk Austin Healey, Boyzone singer Keith Duffy and TOWIE star Dan Osborne int he pool next month, as mentor Tom Daley puts the celebs through their paces.

The Saturday’s Una Foden and Jonathan Ross’ telly presenting brother Paul Ross were also both seen in rehearsals for the live shows earlier this month too.

Other celebs apparently taking part in the reality diving show in the New Year include model Danielle O’Hara, Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna, Channel 5′s Show host Pollyanna Woodward and Daybreak’s Showbiz reporter Anna Williamson.

The second series of Splash! starts on January 4 on ITV.
