Tom Daley and his trunks attracted millions to ITV1's Splash last night, as the new reality series kicked off.
With many viewers claiming the show was so bad it was good, the series looks like it could become a cult hit.
Splash! launched with a strong audience of more than 5 million viewers for its first heat, which saw comic Omid Djalili and Jake Canuso (some bloke from Benidorm, apparently) make it through to the semi-finals.
An average audience of 5.49 million tuned in between 7:15PM and 8:45PM, beating BBC One's Britain's Brightest quiz show.
The show peaked with over 6 million viewers and proved pretty stable throughout its run, only dipping below 5 million for five brief minutes.
Meanwhile, a new series of Take Me Out also brought in the viewers for ITV, with an average audience of more than 4 million sticking around for the latest episode of the cheesy dating show.
Over on Channel 5 and Celebrity Big Brother bounced back from Friday night's disappointing numbers to bring in an audience of more than two million for the latest highlights episode.
Celebrity Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5 while Splash! returns next Saturday night to ITV1.
