Winner of So You Think You Can Dance 2011 Matt Flint has revealed that he wants to do a duet with newly knighted Sir Bruce Forsyth! The 29-year-old from Scarborough, who won the BBC One dancing competition on Saturday, also said he hoped to bring tap dancing to new audiences.
In an interview with DigitalSpy after his win at the weekend, Matt said: "I want to do a duet with Bruce Forsyth. I'd love to do that with Bruce. He's obviously getting a little bit older now, but he's been awesome in his life and he can still tap."
The dancer taped his way to the top of the public vote against Luke Jackson, Katie Love and Kirsty Swain in Saturday's final. Speaking about his particular niche of dance, Matt explained: "It's fresh, it's new. It's obviously a very old form of dance, but I've tried to bring it back in a fresh new way that will appeal to new audiences.
"It's funny actually. I saw an advert yesterday with Gary Lineker tap dancing in it. I thought, 'Do you know what, we should see more of it on the telly'. There's more potential there."
