Even a special guest appearance from The X Factor winner Alexandra Burke couldn't help the ratings of So You Think You Can Dance last night, with the BBC One reality show dipping to 3.8 million viewers. The figure represents the least watched show ever and a decline of more than a million viewers on last week's show.
The huge downfall of the viewing figures is a bad sign for the programme, in only Episode 2 of its second series on the BBC. 3.81 million viewers - a 20.7% share of the telly watching audience last night - tuned into the final auditions show. The figure is down over a million week-on-week, when 4.87 million watched last Saturday's series opener.
It wasn't only the BBC who suffered last night however, possibly down to the warmer weather, ITV also saw their schedule receive some pretty poor ratings too. The finale of Ant & Dec's Push The Button was watched by 3.95 million viewers, making the series average a disappointing 4.7 million - down some way on the previous series average of 5.3 million.
Later on and it was a Mother's Day special of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on ITV1 which attracted a solid 5 million audience from 8:30PM, with celebrities including David Walliams and Olly Murs taking their mums onto the show! It was the BBC's Casualty which recorded the highest figure of the evening however, posting 5.4 million viewers from 8:30PM.
