Popstar to Operastar contestant Joseph Washbourn is already planning his next career move after the ITV1 series finishes next weekend, teling The Sun he wants to become a wedding singer. The Toploader front man, who yesterday said he was expecting to leave in tomorrow's show, says he's had fun doing Opera on the show.
"When it comes to a Toploader gig, you're going to get Toploader songs," Joseph said. But opera is something I've had so much fun doing I might be busting it out at weddings and mates' parties."
Joseph confessed to liking the new genre so much, it may well appear on some of his new songs! He said: "Never say never. I might sling a bit in the next album!"
Meanwhile the singer tipped X Factor winner Joe McElderry to go on and win the show in next Sunday's final. "I think he's an expert at this type of show. He doesn't seem that nervous," he explained.
He added: "[I'm not getting a makeover for votes]. There's not much I can do. With hair like mine you have it long or cut it off. "I'm not wearing pink or frilly shirts. Absolutely not. No one wants to look like a Greek waiter."
