Classical singer Katherine Jenkins has revealed she reckons that former X Factor winner Joe McElderry has a good shot at becoming an Opera singer with the right training. However Jenkins also revealed that fellow Popstar to Operastar contestant Claire Richards wasn't have such a brilliant time.
Speaking to The Sun about the show, which continues this Sunday night, Katherine said about the former Steps star: "She's already been in tears, bless her. But I think this is a really emotional thing for her and she's doing really well. I can't wait for people to hear her sing."
Claire will perform in this week's second show, alongside Andy Bell, Jocelyn Brown and Joe Washbourn.
Meanwhile speaking about Joe - who is currently favourite to win the show - Katherine raved: "I think Joe could be an opera singer if he wanted to be - with training. I think Joe's got a very good chance. He's young, he's really working hard."
But she warned the 19-year-old needed to "knuckle down", adding: "To sing classical music is difficult."
Popstar to Operastar continues at 8PM on ITV1 this Sunday.
