Star of 90's group steps Claire Richards and Toploader’s Joe Washbourn are two of the 'popstars' taking part in this year's series of Popstar to Operastar. They will be joined by American soul singer Jocelyn Brown, Erasure star Andy Bell and former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton.
Band aid star Midge Ure and Cheryl Baker complete the line up, which we previously revealed included former X Factor winner Joe McElderry.
Former Pussycat Doll Melody said: “I’m the youngest and the smallest, but I have the biggest lungs.”
Meanwhile Ultravox’s frontman Midge said: “Sitting learning Italian for my up and coming appearance on Popstar to Operastar in the next couple of weeks. What have I let myself in for.”
Myleene Klass will return to host the show, however as yet the judging lineup - which last year included Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Meat Loaf, Katherine Jenkins and Rolando Villazon - has not been revealed.
Popstar to Operastar will start next month after Britain's Got Talent.
