Neil Morrissey in heart attack scare on Mission Survive

Mission Survive

Neil Morrissey worried he was having a heart attack on Mission Survive 2016 tonight.

In a trek across the South African bush with the other celebs, the Men Behaving Badly star requested a break before feeling light headed.

"There's something weird happening, I don't feel normal," he said, complaining about his heart.

The team's medic rushed to Neil's aid and confirmed the actor's heart rate was too high.

"My brother had a heart attack at 47," Neil revealed. "My dad had a heart attack at 60."

"My body's saying get your arse home and go to the pub but I want to keep it at it," he added before being treated.

Despite the scare, Neil welcomed the other celebs to EAT him if they needed to but quipped: "Avoid the liver."

Jason Gardiner remarked: "I wonder what your gonads would taste like."

Chatting after filming earlier this year, Neil opened up about the scary incident.

“I said to them, ‘I don’t want to walk up any more hills’ and they insisted there weren’t any more,” he explained in an interview with the Daily Mirror. “But we carried on walking up these hills and then I suddenly thought my heart was going to explode. It was at altitude too and I hadn’t factored this in.

“By the time I got to the top I had to have a sit down and a chocolate bar the medic brought me.

"I’ve never been pushed that hard and I didn’t train for it. The others had been in the gym loads. It was tough.”

Mission Survive continues Thursday nights on ITV.
