If you’ve been wondering when Love Island is back on TV for this summer, then there’s really not long to wait.

ITV have now confirmed when the fifth season will begin on TV and it’s all kicking off in June.

The launch episode will take place at 9PM on Monday, June 3 on ITV2, hosted by Caroline Flack.

Alongside Caroline, narrator Iain Stirling will also be back for the fifth run this summer.

ITV2 accompanied the news by its cryptic hashtag for the series, #DayDotIsComing

As for how long Love Island will be on for this year, each series so far has lasted longer than the previous. 2018 was the biggest yet, lasting 59 days, up from 43 in 2017.

Meanwhile, you’ve still got time to apply for Love Island 2019!

ITV ask: “How do you fancy enjoying your very own long hot summer of romance? Love Island will be back for summer 2019 and we’re now on the look out for lively singles from across the country to take part.

“Once again our Islanders will take up residence in a spectacular luxury villa in the hope of finding love. But to stay on the island, they need to couple up – and more importantly – win the hearts of the public.”

In order to apply, you need to be at least 18, have valid travel documents and be free to enjoy a long hot summer later this year.

To apply, visit the official ITV2 website HERE.

The Daily Star claims chiefs want more ‘plus size’ lads and ladies to move in to the villa this summer.

Applications for the series 5 are currently still open. The closing date is July 15, meaning you may be able to enter the villa still after the show has started.

You must be at least 18 to apply and can do so online here.
