A huge new twist rocked the Love Island villa on Friday night when a surprise text arrived.

With the final just days away, the Islanders were left dumbstruck when a shock twist left each couple voting to dump another from the island.

A text read: “Islanders, tonight each couple will secretly vote for one couple that they think should be dumped from the island. You must now discuss in your couples who you are going to choose and why, before submitting your decision via text.

“You must not discuss your decision with anyone else. The couples with the most votes face being dumped from the island #thefinalcountdown”

The three couples that ended up nominated were Alex & Alexandra, Laura & Paul and Josh & Kaz.

The pairs faced a public vote to decide their fate, with the result revealed officially on Sunday night.

But fans think they’ve worked out who went after host Caroline Flack shared a picture on Instagram of the weekend’s Aftersun line up.

She posted a snap of herself alongside guests Russell Kane, Scarlett Moffatt, Jamie Laing, former contestants Laura Crane and Jack Fowler, plus two silhouettes, presumably representing the dumped couple.

Caroline’s followers reckon it gives the result away, suggesting the mystery couple are Alexandra & Alex.

“That silhouette is defo Alex n Alexander !!!!” one posted.

Another added: “You can tell by the silhouettes who they are!!! Alex and Alexandra !!!”

Agreed a third: “Them silhouettes definitely look like Alex and Alexandra.”

And a fourth even claimed: “Looks like Dr Alex’s ears.”

Whether they’re right or not will be revealed in Sunday night’s episode at 9PM on ITV2.

Aftersun will then air at 10PM with Caroline, direct from the villa itself.
