The 2017 Islander has claimed there is “a lot of production” involved in the ITV2 series, revealing that he had to “redo” scenes a number of times.

Jonny also suggested he was ‘forced’ to pursue Amber Davies when entering the villa, causing drama with Kem Cetinay.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Jonny recalled: “When I first went into the villa the production team were like ‘Who are you going to go for?’

“I said I had no idea because I didn’t want to tread on anyone’s toes. They asked me ‘Well, who do you like?’ and I said Amber, so they told me to “just go and speak to her.”

“I spoke to Amber but they made me redo it three times. She was obviously with Kem so it made me look awful but actually they were making me do it.”

Jonny told the tabloid that at times he refused producers requests.

He said: “There would even be times I would refuse and say ‘Well, I’m not having that conversation again.’ And they would tell me ‘You have to.’ There is a lot of production involved.”

A spokesperson for the show denied the ‘fix’ claims.

They said in a statement to DigitalSpy: “The opinions they have and the relationships formed are completely within the control of the Islanders themselves.”
