In Friday’s show, as the Islanders relaxed in the garden, Samira received a text: “Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling.

“The boys will choose and the girl not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the island. #getpickedorgetpacking #layitonthick ”

Following the first Love Island recoupling, it was Kendall Rae-Knight who was sent home after being left single.

Adam Collard, originally partnered up with Kendall, dropped her in favour of new girl Rosie Williams.

One viewer reacted on Twitter: “Is it right to be this angry and livid over Adam picking Rosie over Kendall??????? I actual feel like i’ve been mugged off ??? so attached to this programme wow x help sos #loveisland”

Another wrote: “So Adam came in the villa, took Kendall off Niall, then saw Rosie and dumped Kendall off straight away, that’s a grade A d**ckhead right there #loveisland”

“Adam choosing Rosie over Kendall, is literally every lad.. choosing a good time, over a good thing,” a third said.

Many viewers were quick to praise Kendall, with a number suggesting she was better off out of the villa.

“Kendall is too good for any of them. She is so pure and so strong considering she’s still building herself back up from her last relationship. My heart is in bits for her ♥️” one posted online.

Speaking after her exit, Kendall said: “I am a little bit gutted to be the first one out.

“I won’t lie, it’s not nice being the first one out, but I do feel positive that I did everything I wanted to do, and I stood my ground, and I have no regrets about what I did.”

She added: “There’s nothing I would do differently. There were times when the girls were saying ‘if Adam’s into Rosie, why don’t you try getting with Eyal’ but I was like ‘no, I’m not going to fake something to save myself.’

“I was in there to find somebody that I was into, not in there just to stay until the end to play the game. I stuck to my guns.”

Love Island 2018 returns at 9PM on Sunday, followed by spin-off show Aftersun at 10PM where Kendall will chat to Caroline.
