One girl gets the axe in tonight's Love Island 2018 results as the first recoupling takes place.
Less than a week after the launch, one Islander will be leaving the villa this evening.
In tonight's show, as the Islanders relax in the garden, Samira receives the fateful news.
A text reads: “Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling.
"The boys will choose and the girl not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the island. #getpickedorgetpacking #layitonthick
The news immediately sends shockwaves around the villa, with most of the girls resolute that they will need to fight to keep their place.
With Adam flitting between Kendall and Rosie, and Eyal mulling over Kendall and Hayley, it looks like the key decisions will fall on the two boys, as Eyal admits “I actually have no idea. At this moment in time. And I’m not going to have an idea before right before it happens.”
New girl Rosie meanwhile vents in the Beach Hut as she tries to gauge whether Adam will stick with current pick Kendall or shift his focus onto her.
She says: “Give it to me straight up. Tell me who you’re going to pick. Saying ‘I’m going to make my mind up on the spot.’
"I’m sorry, no one makes their mind up on the spot. He knows what he’s going to do. Just be a bit of a man and say it. I’d rather you be brutally honest so I can prepare myself if I’m going home.”
With the majority of the existing Love Island couples in a state of constant flux, Hayley tells the Beach Hut that most of the girls are in the same boat.
She tells the camera: “Right now it’s only Laura and Dani that know they’re safe when it comes to re-coupling so I think the rest of the girls, they are vulnerable but you just don’t know what will happen.
"You’ve got to wait and see I suppose. I actually think being in here is making me a bit wiser. I genuinely do!”
As the recoupling finally happens, who is heading home? And with the power in the boys’ hands, will they go with their heads or their hearts?
Love Island 2018 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
