New ITV2 reality show Survival of the Fittest will see 'the ultimate battle of the sexes'.

And now a first preview of what is being called 'Winter Love Island' has been revealed.

The new reality game show will see a group of young, hot singles living together under the searing South African savannah sun as they take part in the ultimate battle of the sexes, in order to win a big cash prize.

Launching this month (February 2018), a team of girls and a team of boys will battle it out in a series of stunning physical and mental challenges.

They'll be fighting to determine which sex has the upper hand, while romantic dates will test their loyalties to the limit.

Will the girls put sisters before misters and will the boys choose mates over dates?

Or will the temptation be too much and they end up in bed with the enemy?

From the makers of Love Island, this brand new stripped entertainment series will give viewers the power to decide who stays in the competition, who goes home, and which sex ultimately comes out on top.

Laura Whitmore will host the new series, which will start on TV on Sunday, February 11 2018 at 9PM.

The show will then continue each night at 9PM on ITV2 for four weeks.

"The ITV family always manages to come up with exciting and innovative formats and this brand new show is the ultimate boys versus girls," she said.

"Having worked on five series of I'm a Celeb... I didn't think that it was possible to find a backdrop as exotic as the Jungle – cue the African Savannah.

"I can't wait to get out there..!"

Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions, Paul Mortimer said: “ITV2’s younger audience will no doubt relish the escapism this immersive physical game show from sunny South Africa will provide next winter.

"Like Love Island before it, this series’ nightly mixture of fun challenges and burgeoning relationships ought to be must see.”
