This is one Love Island couple we definitely didn't see coming this year.

While the series may have all now wrapped up, it seems the ITV2 show is still keeping people talking.

As winners Kem and Amber celebrate their £50,000 prize, a pick of 'Muggy Mike' Thalassitis and Love Island host Caroline Flack has been doing the rounds online.

And some fans are sure the pair have secretly become an item, the Daily Mirror reports.

“Appaz they’re together,” claimed one user online. Another added: "Not the first huggy from muggy she’s had haha, deffo something there.”

According to The Sun, Caroline and Mike flirted up a storm during Sunday's reunion party.

"Caroline is a very flirty person in general, which is obviously Mike lapped up," the source said. “It’s unlikely their chemistry will ever lead to a date but there’s certainly a spark between them.

“Caroline has been embracing all the castmembers but given both herself and Mike are single, their relationship have been slightly different.”

Speaking before the final last week, Caroline admitted she did spend quite a bit of time with the Islanders off screen.

"I find it so hard to mask my feelings when I’m there – I cried filming an episode recently," Caroline confessed . “I ruin a ton of shots because they can’t show me sobbing – everyone would be like, ‘Why is the presenter crying her heart out?’

“And the thing is I then watch it back on TV a day later and cry again. Why am I crying? I was there!”

In a chat with The Sun on Sunday newspaper, Caroline explained she felt particularly for Camilla Thurlow following her relationship troubles during the series.

Caroline said: “When I saw Camilla after her heartbreak I had to talk to her and see if she was all right.

“That’s a girl thing – we’ve all had our hearts broken and then had to be around an ex.“It strikes a chord – you watch what she went through and go ‘ugh, there’s that feeling again’.”

Love Island will return in 2018 on ITV2 for Series 4.
