Love Island 2017: Olivia Attwood sent death threats on social media

Love Island 2017: Olivia sleeps outside.

Love Island 2017 contestant Olivia Attwood has been receiving death threats from some viewers.

While her antics have caused a lot of chatter on Twitter, a handful of trolls have gone even further.

The Sun reports that Olivia as well as her family and friends have been targeted over Olivia's behaviour on the ITV2 series.

As well as death threats online, family members have apparently also been targeted on the street in their hometown.

A source told the tabloid: “The family have had it really tough. A lot of people are really worried for them.

“They have had abuse shouted at them in the street. They are going through a very hard time.”

In last night's episode, Olivia admitted she had been a "b***h" to boyfriend Chris Hughes as she opened up to him on their final date.

Olivia told Chris: “I wanted you to know that even though you drive me crazy, when I look back on our time on the villa, I have put you through stuff.

"I’ve realised more than ever that I am a massive product of my past and I have coping mechanisms and one of them is to be a b***h and when I feel vulnerable, I will push everyone away.

"If I hadn’t come here and I hadn’t met you, I would not have realised that and I don’t honestly believe there’s any other boy that could have brought it out of me.

"I realise how much you put up with. You are insanely patient and that is the reason why I like you, one of many reasons. Apart from the fact you’re fit.”

After returning to the villa, Olivia told the girls: “Being with Chris outside of the villa, not in the supermarket arguing, seeing him, I was looking at him thinking, he’s fit. I was thinking, that’s my boyfriend, he’s hot."

Love Island 2017 continues nightly on ITV2.
