Who left in tonight's Love Island 2017 results? One more contestant has been given the boot.

Simon Searles was the unlucky lad to be given the boot in tonight's show after a public vote, just a week after entering the villa.

In yesterday evening's episode, Marcel got a text which read: "Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling in which the boys will pick the girls they want to couple up with. #MakeItCount #SeizeTheDay"

The news sent shock waves through the villa before the Islanders gathered around the firepit for the recoupling. The couples were: Marcel and Gabby, Montana and Dom, Simon and Tyla, Chris and Olivia, Jonny and Camilla and Kem and Amber.

Following the recoupling, a public vote opened for viewers to pick their favourites of the couples.

The couples with the fewest votes were revealed tonight as Caroline Flack dropped by the villa.

Caroline gathered the Islanders and explained: “The public have been voting for the couple they think is the most compatible. The islanders with the fewest votes risk being dumped from the island tonight.”

The couple with the fewest votes was revealed as Simon and Tyla. Caroline then explained that each of the safe couples will decide which of the pair to dump.

Montana and Dom voted to evict Tyla
Chris and Olivia voted to evict Tyla
Kem and Amber voted to evict Simon
Marcel and Gabby voted to evict Simon
Jonny and Camilla voted to evict Simon

As a result, it was Simon who left the Island.

Speaking about his exit, Simon said: "I'm gutted it was short-lived and I would have enjoyed a little bit more time in there but it has still been a wicked experience and I've made some really good friends so I'm sure I'll be in contact with a lot of them for a long time."

He added: "I never thought it was possible to be such close friends with people after a week. You feel like crying when you're leaving them and they feel like family so I think all the laughs that we had, the experience as a whole was wicked. It's something I'll always remember and I just wish it lasted a bit longer."

Love Island 2017 continues nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.
