Speaking about the new series today, host Caroline Flack said: "Do you know what I really enjoy? Although it’s about love, I really enjoy how the friendships develop.
"Last year I remember Zara getting upset when Adam didn’t pick her, and then because she was crying, Kady cried, so I cried. I loved the sisterhood."
She continued: "I want the girls to stick together, I don’t want them to be against each other. I’d love a Kady moment, when she was stuck in that room. That frustration she felt.
"When you’re around people you like, it’s very hard to remain cool. I know I can’t, I completely change my personality. I really don’t know what to expect this year though."
Caroline will return on Monday to introduce us to the fresh batch of sexy singletons all in search of the summer of their lives, with passion, romance and drama from the outset.
The islanders should be braced for a bombshell whenever Caroline drops in – she will be appearing in the villa throughout the series to deliver shock announcements and surprise twists that are guaranteed to test relationships in the islanders’ passion-fuelled paradise to the max.
Meanwhile, Caroline will also be hosting a brand new spin-off show for 2017.
Love Island: Aftersun will air live in the UK on Sunday nights and see Caroline Flack joined by a panel of different celebrity guests each week, with the show offering viewers first reaction to the goings on in the villa, exclusive interviews with dumped islanders, and all the gossip from the most dramatic series to date.
Love Island starts on ITV2 at 9PM, Monday June 5 and continues nightly.
