Love Island couples: Where are they now? Who's split and who's still together...

Love Island 2016: Where are they now?

Love Island 2016

It's now been a year since Love Island 2016 wrapped up on ITV2 but which couples are still together?

Well as the new series wraps up, it's all over for a lot of the couples from last year but some remain together and there's even been an engagement.

Here's the latest on who's split and who's still an item...

Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey

Status: SPLIT

The winners of ITV2's Love Island last summer seemed to have a super strong relationship, but rumours back in March were that they may be about to go their separate ways.

They had moved in together and even appeared on ITVBe's TOWIE as a couple, but in April they decided to go their separate ways.

However things took a twist in May when Cara revealed she and Nathan were expecting a baby together.

The pair found out the news shortly before their split with Cara describing it as "a beautiful surprise", but she ruled out getting back with Nathan.

Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen

Status: Together - ENGAGED!

Olivia and Alex remain together and recently showed off matching tattoos on their wrists of a King and Queen of Hearts to prove their relationship.

This New Year's Eve they went further and announced they had got engaged after a romantic trip to New York.

“2016 was mine and Olivia’s year and what better way to round it off than proposing to her. I’m absolutely made up that my wonderful girlfriend has agreed to marry me. Love Island made our year," Alex said.

Recently, Olivia appeared on TLC's Say Yes To Dress to pick out her wedding dress for her big day.

Kady McDermott and Scott Thomas

Kady and Scott are also still together, and Love Island host Caroline Flack says they're totally loved up. "I think Kady and Scott will get married first, and they’ll stay together, 100 per cent," she said.

Following the show, Kady and Scott launched their own YouTube channel where you can catch regular vlogs of exactly what they've been up since leaving the villa.

Rachel Fenton and Rykard Jenkins

Love Island's Rachel Fenton and Rykard Jenkins had quite the rocky time on the show last year.

They were together but Rykard ended up cheating on Rachael with Olivia, before she was eliminated from the show.

In a Love Island first, Rykard decided to quit to follow Rachel and the pair have since remained together outside the villa.

Katie Salmon and Adam Maxted

Arguably the weakest couple, Katie and Adam split shortly after the final. Days, in fact. It clearly was never meant to be.

Adam tweeted back in July of last year: “It’s like when you’re eating a kebab after a night out & the first few bites taste good but then u realise that it really isn’t nice at all!”

Katie then hit back with her own metaphor: “It’s like getting socks at Christmas. Practical but no fun.”

Their sex scenes prompted an Ofcom investigation but it wasn't just for the cameras, with Emma-Jane and Terry remaining a couple for almost a year after the show.

They split in February with Terry announcing to Twitter: "me n Em have broken up. We’re still friends. One chapter closes another must open”

The pair previously admitted regret after getting so 'close' on TV last summer. Emma confessed: "There's always going to be that thing around having sex on TV. There's not a day that goes by I don't wish I hadn't done that."

Saying it was her "biggest regret", Emma added to new! magazine: "We'd had a few drinks and they told me they wouldn't air it if it was outside the covers."

Terry added: "If we went back in time, we wouldn't do it."

Sophie Gradon and Tom Powell

While they had a rocky relationship on the show, Sophie and Tom seem to doing a lot better outside the villa.

Unfortunately it didn't last long term and split up in November, amid claims of cheating from both sides.
