The winners of The Love Island 2016 have faced a shock prize money twist in tonight's live show.
This evening's live results saw Caroline Flack join the final four couples and announce the winners LIVE as chosen by the public are Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey, with more than 50% of the vote.
Rivals Alex & Olivia were runners up, Scott & Kady finished in third and Adam and Katie ended the series in 4th place.
Although they won, the series wasn't over for Nathan and Cara.
Host Caroline unveiled that the £50,000 prize fund wasn't just theirs to take away then and there.
Caroline revealed two sealed envelopes, explaining that one had £0 inside and the other the full £50,000.
Cara and Nathan then each had to select an envelope, with Nathan ending up with £0 and Cara the £50,000 prize.
Caroline put Cara to the test as she as asked if she was on the show for love or just for the cash: She could either keep the £50,000 for herself or share it half and half with Nathan.
Cara didn't hesitate, saying: "I'm sharing it, it's the easiest decision."
As a result, Cara and Nathan each left the villa with £25,000.
Love Island will return for a new series next summer on ITV2.
