Who won Love Island 2016? The winning couple have just been REVEALED in tonight's live final

This evening's live results saw Caroline Flack join the final couples and announce the winners LIVE as chosen by the public are Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey.

Back on Friday night's Love Island, Caroline returned to the villa with bad news for Lauren Whiteside & Adam Jukes and Terry Walsh and Emma-Jane Woodham as the four were evicted.

With the fewest votes in the public vote, they had lost their places in the show with just days to go before the final.

It left just four confirmed couples chasing the prize money: Nathan and Cara, Scott and Kady, Alex and Olivia and Adam and Katie.

FREE voting was available over the weekend via the app with viewers able to vote up to three times (once every 24 hours) for their favourite(s).

Nathan reacted: "For once in my life I am speechless."

Caroline then revealed that the pair had won the show with more than 50% of the vote.

As the winning couple, the pair got to enjoy an equal share of the £50,000 prize fund!
