It's the Love Island 2016 final tonight and the couples attend the Love Island Summer Ball where they make declarations of love to each other.
As Love Island 2016 reaches its climactic final, romance was definitely in the air in the villa yesterday as the Islanders celebrated the end of the series with the Love Island Summer Ball, which gave the couples a chance to declare their true feelings to their other halves.
In scenes that will air in tonight's final show, while the girls went on a shopping trip to pick their dresses for the ball, the boys were given dancing lessons to help them impress their partners that evening.
The boys paired up together and were taught the waltz. Finding that his dancing partner, Adam, had two left feet, Nathan said: “A fridge freezer would have more rhythm than Adam. I love the guy, but I don’t think dancing is his forte. I was thinking of myself as twinkle toes, now I’m looking at myself as broken toes; Adam trod on my feet a couple of times.”
With the girls’ shopping trip completed, and the boys’ dance lesson over, the Islanders sat down to write their declarations of love.
Cara admitted she was struggling with her speech to Nathan, saying: “It’s hard, because me and Nathan are never soppy. Is this the one time that he’s actually going to be soppy?”
Olivia explained what she wanted to get across to Alex in her speech, saying: “I want him to know that I’m there for him and that we are going to give it a go on the outside, but there’s no pressure.”
With the boys suited and booted in their dapper evening wear, the girls made their glamorous entrances into the villa.
The Love Island 2016 final airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
