It was Cara De La Hoyde's birthday in the Love Island 2016 this weekend and the remaining five couples enjoyed a circus themed party.
However as their costumes arrived, as chosen by Nathan and Olivia, some of the Islanders found that their outfits didn’t quite match their expectations.
Olivia sat in the Beach Hut, dressed as a clown with full wig and make-up, saying: “Me and Nathan thought ‘Yeah, circus themed for Cara’s birthday’. We were thinking more ‘sexy circus’ like burlesque – like what she does for a job. And then this happened!”
After an evening of fun and dancing, Cara said: “I’ve had such a lovely time. I was so happy and everyone made such an effort and that means a lot that everyone joined in. I could not spend my birthday with better people in a better place.”
Cara and Nathan sat down at the end of her birthday party to reflect on the day’s events, which included visit from their parents. Cara told to Nathan how pleased she was to have seen her parents on her birthday.
Nathan then told Cara how much he’d liked her father. Nathan said: “I definitely get on with your dad. I’ve met your dad and I’ve had an instant liking to him. I mean it, what a guy.”
Cara replied: “For me, what you’re saying right now makes me so happy because you’ve not said nothing like that. You’ve not even mentioned my family before. All this reassures me that when we get out it’s going to be fine.”
Nathan assured her: “It’s signed, sealed and delivered. I can’t wait.”
Love Island 2016 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
