Love Island 2016 winners? Kady McDermot and Scott Thomas tipped to triumph

Love Island, ITV2, ITV, ITV Studios.

Kady McDermot and Scott Thomas are the favourites to win Love Island with the bookies.

The pair's rocky relationship has calmed down a bit in recent days and last night we saw the couple make it official as they became boyfriend and girlfriend.

Scott's big move of commitment and Kady's acceptance has seen them take the top spot in the odds to win, given a 4/1 shot of scoring the £50,000 cash prize.

Behind them are Nathan and Cara, who have been in the villa and coupled up since the very first day.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Jessica Bridge of bookmakers Ladbrokes said: "Scott and Kady have had their fair share of ups and downs but after his 'Be My GF?' gesture' it has seen the couple surge ahead as favourites to win this year's series.

"Given her former life as an adult actress it's surprising to see Cara so clingy with Nathan, and it's her intensity that could cost them the money."

She added: "Terry was riding along with Malin as clear front runners for glory, but after mugging her off and shacking up with Emma-Jane so soon he's all but ruined his chances of winning."

Viewers will ultimately pick the winning couple with the grand final scheduled for next Monday night on ITV2.

Host Caroline Flack will front a LIVE 90 minute long show direct from the villa in Spain as the result is revealed.
