Love Island 2016: Tom Powell 'devastated' after leaving - will Sophie Gradon stay loyal?

Tom looking moody

Tom Powell says he feels like "s**t" after being booted off Love Island.

Tom was partnered with Sophie Gradon but the public voted to keep her in above him after the couple were named one of the weakest by their fellow Islanders.

Following his exit, Tom told Caroline Flack that he was "devastated" but commented: "I trust Sophie and I know she trusts me but not having her by my side is going to kill me."

Revealing that he had declared his love for her love her, Tom continued: "I'm just crazy about her."

However that followed the pair splitting, which Tom blamed solely on himself: "It was because of me being a moody git and over thinking the situation and finding problems where there weren't any."

Meanwhile, on the topic of ex Emma who recently joined the villa, Tom remarked "It's strange to watch your ex date one of your friends but the more I saw the more I didn't care."

Back in the villa, a tearful Sophie reacted to Tom's exit by vowing to win it for him.

"I want to go right to end now for Tom," she said.

Love Island 2016 continues nightly on ITV2.
