Two Islanders have been given the boot from Love Island 2016 in a shock double eviction tonight.
The latest to be dropped from the show are Liana Isadora Van Rie and Tom Powell following votes by both the viewers and Islanders themselves.
On yesterday's show, the Islanders received a text telling them that there was to be a recoupling where the boys must choose which girl they’d like to couple up with.
The girl Troy chose would share his immunity from being dumped from the island.
Here's how that recoupling went...
Scott coupled up with Kady
Tom coupled up with Sophie
Nathan coupled up with Cara
Alex coupled up with Olivia
Terry coupled up with Emma
Troy coupled up with Tina
Adam coupled with Liana
After all the Islanders had coupled up, they received another text: “Islanders, now that you are coupled up, it’s time to find out who you think are the weakest couples in the villa.
"Tonight, each couple will vote for who they think are the two weakest couples. You must now discuss in your couples who you’re going to choose and then submit your decision by text. You must not discuss your decision with anyone else.”
Liana and Adam and Sophie and Tom were voted as the two weakest couples and as a result all FOUR of them were in trouble.
After the show, the public had the chance to save one person from each of the bottom two couples chosen by the islanders, leaving two people dumped.
Tonight saw Caroline Flack return to the villa to announce the news, first revealing the bottom two couples as chosen by the Islanders.
Asking if it had come as a surprise, Sophie admitted to Caroline: “I’m not surprised really, I think because me and Tom had broken up, timing was just a bitch on this one.”
Seeming annoyed, Tom told Caroline: “I haven’t got much to say really. I think because we’d broken up, everyone thought we wasn’t strong because of that.”
Due to the fact they were coupled as friends, Adam and Liana accepted why they’d been voted as a weak couple. Liana said: “We’re not surprised, we know we’re the only couple who are on a friendship basis when everyone else is romantic, so we saw it coming.”
Thinking that they would be dumped from the Island as a couple, Caroline delivered a shocking twist, saying: “I’ve got some news. You’re not being dumped as couples. Tonight, the public have been voting to save one member of each couple and to give them another chance at finding love in the villa.”
The Islanders had no time to react to the news before Caroline announced that those with the most votes to stay were Adam and Sophie, leaving Liana and Tom to leave - immediately.
Love Island 2016 continues nightly at 9PM on ITV2.
